The Tantora is a monster of the Leviathan species and the female counterpart of the Tantoron

Tantora have a bulkier build than Tantoron, and a longer tail, although they are still a bit smaller than their male couterparts. They have slender snouts resembling the real life Gharial. Short horns protrude from the top of their skulls and bony plates are found above each of their eyes. They also have distinctive slits above their snouts, which they use to "inhale" water and spit it out as a short ranged, high pressured jet to attack enemies. They have yellow scales and limbs that have red fins running along them, similar to the front and back legs of the Amatsumagatsuchi. They also have rods of bone along their back that get taller as they approach its tail, which is beige in colour, and has red fur on it. The spines have a stretch of red skin along them, forming a "sail", which they use to control their speed in the water.

Although less aggressive than their male counterparts, Tantora are still an annoyance to hunters that are trying to attack a bigger threat (e.g Plesioth). They hunt in massive packs to outmanoeuvre and overpower prey, and predators alike. They are also known for their courageous nature, attacking large monsters that breach their territory. They can also fire a jet of water after inhaling a certain amount through the slits above their snouts, causing waterblight to hunters.

Tantora are perfectly adapted to life underwater, unlike their male counterparts, which spend more time on land. They do, however, still need to come up to the surface to breathe, and so, they are commonly found in shallow bodies of water.
