Rheodrome are the fully grown forms of Rheoprey. It first appears in Monster Hunter Z. They are a member of the Raptorial Bird Wyvern species.

Rheodrome is the biggest of all the prey dromes - close to the size of a Yian Kut - ku. They have deep black scales and very bright red and faint blue markings arranged in an irregular stripe pattern. They have a single finger at the end of their long arms. These fingers each hold two gargantuan claws that have a special surface for producing an increased amount of friction. On their elbows are bright blue, leaf - like feathers that splay when they see a hunter or another large monster in the area they are in. Their upper and lower jaws are longer than that of the Rheoprey, and curve up like that of the real life, but extinct flying reptile, Dsungaripterus. They have black irises, yellow scleras and no pupils. When enraged they huff white smoke.

When a Rheoprey in the pack matures (be it male or female), it will be called a Rheodrome. The Rheodrome takes over the pack as the leader. The Rheoprey that are close to maturing will sacrifice themselves to the Rheodrome to maintain its dominance over the pack. However, if two Rheoprey mature at the same time, they will fight to the death for dominance. The Rheodrome is also the only member of the pack who can father / give birth to babies. During the mating season, if the Rheodrome is a male, it will mate with all of the female Rheoprey in the pack, and kill all of the adolescent males. If the Rheodrome is a female, it will gather up all of the male Rheoprey for them to display their feathers. The one with the brightest plumage is the one she mates with. After they mate, the Rheodrome will kill all of the other males.

When Rheodrome are threatened, they scrape their claws against each other to produce sparks of fire that will only ignite under very high temperatures (hence why they live in boiling hot areas of more than 50 degrees celsius), causing a massive explosion. Also, unlike the Rheoprey, Rheodrome will develop a flame sac inside its body, allowing it to spit out small fireballs at its prey and its foes.

Rheodrome possess all of the basic attacks of a Prey Drome. They also possess some attacks of their own.
