The Gorgomite is a small, vaguely beetle like Neopteran found in the Hotter areas of MHEX's new areas update. They are relatives of Kunchuu, but instead of rolling into a ball for self defense, like kunchuu do, they hide inside their Rocky shell in the fashion of a hermit crab. Despite this, they are frequently preyed on by larger Monsters that can crack through the tough armor....
Notes:[]
- They wont shatter like most neopterans, similarly to kunchuu. They give 2 carves.
- Gorgomites will attack the player when he/she gets too close, but will stop doing so and hide in their shells if a large monster shows up in the same area. The will stay in their shell until the predator leaves. They are often eaten while still in their shells, however.
- If poisoned, they will give 4 carves, intrestingly....
- They will feed on carrion, including the corpses of their own kind.
- They come in two varieties: Brown in the White Desert , and Black in Lava Mountain.
