Intro to MH3D

Monster Hunter 3 Destiny is a massive Monster Hunter game that I have invented. It combines the aspects of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Monster Hunter Tri G. It has all of the monsters from both games, and even the new areas are made from combinations of the two games.

For now, I'm going to post information on the brand-new areas that hunters will visit in their Quests. Enjoy!

The Idyllic Ocean

The Idyllic Ocean, like the name suggests, is a peaceful, forested area with a huge lake leading out to the sea. Over half of the area is covered in deep, blue water. It is based off of the Deserted Island and the Jungle from previous games.

Area Information

Areas 1, 2, and 3 are very forested, with lots of trees and shrubs. Many large monsters such as Yian Kut-Ku and Agsolstea can be fought in here. However, the trees make it quite hard to see.

Area 4 is rocky and barren. It is a favorite sleeping spot of Agsolstea and Crimson Uragaan.

Area 5 is a cove-like area, with a rocky shore and lots of water. It is the sleeping spot of Jinouga, Toxic Barroth, and the White Lagiacrus.

Area 6 is a grassy plain, dominated by a huge rocky cliff. Many large wyverns like to hunt here, and most, if not all, large monsters wander here at some point.

Area 7 is a vast beach. The majority of the area is a huge gulf that opens up into the ocean. A lot of aquatic monsters make their home here, such as the Gobul and Lagiacrus.

Area 8 and 10 are completely water areas. They, too, open into the ocean, which is not accessable to hunters. Occasionally, a Glauturna is seen swooping above these areas.

Area 9 is an island surrounded by water. Agsolstea can swim to this area by jumping in the water in Area 7 and coming ashore.

Area 11, connected to Area 10, is a cavernous, underwater area. It is very deep, and the preferred sleeping spot of the Gobul.

Area 12 is simply a long cavern, leading from Area 10 to 13. No large monsters live here.

Area 13 is a cavern that is inaccessible by land, instead having an underwater tunnel to connect to the more open areas. Royal Ludroth, Lagiacrus, and all Carapaceons sleep here.

Barren Desert

The Barren Desert is a combination of the Sandy Plains and Desert from past games. It has a much wider variety of environments than one may think.

Area 6 is a vast, dim cavern. A Torch is not required in this area, but it is still quite dark. Several large monsters return here to rest, like with Area 11 of the Sandy Plains.

Area 7 is a cavern as well, but with an open ceiling. Because of the sunlight, plants are plentiful here. The Desert Doboruberuku and Qurupeco sleep here.

Area 8, 9, 11, and 12 are expansive desert areas. Almost all large monsters can be found in at least two of these areas.

Area 10 is a very lush region. Many Parnivid make this area their home.

Area 13 is also desert, but much scrubbier, with lots of shrubs and cacti. Practically every single large monster can be encountered here.

Small Monsters: none

Large Monsters: none

Large Monsters: (High-Rank): Jade Alatreon

Area Information

Area 1 is a great, twisted wasteland. There are pools of green fluid on the ground, which can thankfully be stepped into due to the Rad Cancel armor skill. Twisted trees sprout from the ground here and there. The sky is overcast and dark purple and green, and the ground is very hazy, with green mist floating up from the polluted ground.

Ruined Island is an island way off of the coasts of the Idyllic Ocean. There is nothing living there.

Region Type: Field

Large Monsters: none

Large Monsters (High-Rank): Taltaira

Area 1 (technically, Area 2 - details coming soon) is a vast, barren island. There are ruins poking up out of the ground, indicating that someone must have lived there in past times.

Hellish Abyss

The Hellish Abyss is a series of dark caverns that are inaccessible to Low-Rank hunters. The only monster discovered here is still shrouded in mystery.

Basic Information

Region Type: Cave, Volcano

No. of Areas: 3 + Base Camp

Native Plants: none

Small Monsters: none

Large Monsters: none

Large Monsters (High-Rank): Rare Bracchidios

Area Information

Area 1 is a very dark cavern. It isn't as dark as the caves in the Frozen Wastes, so Torches aren't needed, but the darkness is still thick enough to obscure vision significantly. (Think of Taikun Zamuza's final area in Monster Hunter Frontier.)

Area 2 is slightly brighter thanks to lava running under the ground and small embers drifting in the air. Sometimes, fire geysers erupt, causing Fireblight as well as knockback.

Area 3 is a volcanic cavern, complete with a vast lake of lava at the edge. Even small attacks by the Rare Bracchidios are enough to make lava geysers erupt. It is incredibly bright compared to the other two Areas.
