Known as the "Paladin of the ponds," the Malladrake is a semi-aquatic bird wyvern found in the flooded forest and the misty peaks.
The Malladern is very duck-like in appearance, only it has more of an upright stance. On the elbow of its wings, special feathers have grown and hardened, and over time, gain the strength and sharpness of a steel blade. Around its waist can be found several rectangular, green shells, fanning out in each direction. These help the creature maintain buoyancy and can deflect attacks. It's face has white feathers, which turn red around the eyes to intimidate predators. It has a crest made up of small shells similar to the ones found around the waist.
The Malladrake mainly uses fencing-like techniques with its bladed wing feathers. It rarely ever slashes, preffering to stab and lunge. It is not well adapted to flight, because of its large body weight. It can, however, flap downward using all of it's waist-shells at once, giving it a tremendous lift-off ability. It uses these in many of its more powerful attacks. It is highly resistant to water and ice, with a small amount of dragon resistance. It is weak to thunder and fire attacks.
The Malladrake is fiercely proud and territorial. It mates for life, and is never found far from its nest. They cannot dive due to their buoyant waist armor, so instead float on top of the water. They go "bottoms up" to feed on fish and seaweed.
