What is Monster Hunter?

For those who are completely new to the series and have somehow stumbled upon this wiki, Monster Hunter is a hack-n-slash adventure game developed by Capcom Co., Ltd.. Beginning in 2004, the series has developed from Monster Hunter 1 on the Playstation 2 to sequels and expansions on the Playstation Portable and Nintendo Wii. There is a wide variety of incredible, unique and just plain strange monsters spread across many different terrains in a wondrous land. From pleasant forests to erupting volcanos, Monster Hunter is constantly being added to, and the best part for those writing fanfiction - it has little plot, which means you are free to do what you wish with your story!!
